Clean-looking facilities don’t always ensure they’re bed-bug free

My mother lived in an assisted living facility and my son worked in the same facility.

You pay out lots of money to stay in a place and you expect it to be bug free and clean. Not so at this facility. It has been fighting a bed-bug issue for at least two years that I know of.

When my mother had to be moved to a memory-care facility we found out that she, too, had fallen victim to this pestilence.

We had to leave her Posturepedic bed and two chairs because they had bed bugs in them, and although we checked her belongings, somehow we got hitchhikers and now we have them.

I am outraged. The facility knows it has  the problem but won’t take ownership of it.

Mom’s out furniture and I am out approximately $2,000 to $3,000 when all is said and done for treatment for the house.

Check carefully just because it looks nice doesn’t mean it is.
