TOLEDO (WTVG) – Dozens of people go in and out of the Lucas County Courthouse in downtown Toledo. In there with them have been bed bugs crawling around the 3rd and 4th floors.
Court Administrator Brian Patrick said bed bugs were found in Courtroom 8 on Wednesday.
Patrick said a court deputy saw a bed bug and then employees started searching for more. More bed bugs were located on the 3rd and 4th floors.
They might have been there for awhile because Patrick said the bugs were laying eggs.
Pest control sprayed the courthouse. Now, certain areas of the courthouse are closed for 24 hours.
Those areas that are closed on Thursday will reopen Friday morning.
